Teriyaki Tuna





Waitrose did us proud tonight with some superb tuna steaks. I particularly like Wagamama's teriyaki marinade, it seems to be very rich and flavoursome, and a little goes a long way.

Serves 2
2 syns on Extra Easy

2 tuna steaks
2 tbsp teriyaki marinade
½ celeriac, chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
3 tomatoes, halved
2 red onions



Marinade the tuna steaks in the teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes. Meanwhile, peel and halve the red onions and cut into segments. Place on an oven tray and bake at 220°C for about 20 minutes. Boil the celeriac pieces with the chopped onion for 15-20 minutes, until the celeriac is soft. Mash with a potato masher. Grill the tuna and tomatoes for a few minutes on each side until cooked to your liking.

Place the celeriac mash on two plates and top with the tuna. Serve with the onions and tomato.
